Your wedding...

...the most wonderful and momentous day of your life!

We offer you a Starting Point for time and pictures. You can modify that Point to have more or less of either - whatever you want. Why spend money for services that you don't need, or fall short of what you really want? Here's the deal...

The Starting Point (you can have more or less time and pictures, if desired) for all Full Weddings includes:

  • Four hours of photographer working time, which starts when you tell us you want the first pictures to begin (we don't charge for set-up or take-down).

  • A minimum of 100 pictures taken. But that is just what's on the contract – we generally take 20%-40% more, just to make sure we've got great shots for everything you want – and you keep all of the wonderful imagery.

  • If you want additional pictures, they are very affordable. For example, 40 extra photographs to keep is only $96.00 extra - and that includes the pages in your presentation album (again, that's the contractual minimum – we'll still take the 20%-40% additional).

  • A very handsome presentation album to keep for all of the pictures.

  • An exclusive 'details meeting' prior to wedding day (usually 1½ - 3 hours – we'll be as thorough as you wish) so you can have the wedding photographed in the style you wish, with the specific pictures you'd like (we won't waste your time or money on pictures you don't care about). It also makes the picture-taking at the wedding much more time-efficient, plus you'll gain insights of how the events of the day will unfold, so you can arrange for details you never thought of before. It will also eliminate the 'anxiety of the unknown'. It's a huge day – approach it with joy and the confidence of knowing how everything will flow. Other studios do not do this.

  • Unlimited special effects (double exposures, misties, soft focus, vignettes, etc.)

  • $150.00 in reprints of your choosing (in addition to your album of pictures)

Your photography dollar simply goes farther here - and with better results! When you view the gallery of wedding pictures, you'll see the quality is unsurpassed by anyone at any price.

Note: Although not included in the price (i.e. no charge), we virtually always have a photographic assistant who also will be taking pictures. Anything he/she takes that we feel would enhance your album will be placed there. And, we'll Photoshop all of their imagery, too, placing it into your permanent folder.

Speaking of price... Here's the good news — and note the seasonal adjustments for discounts and possible additions.

Pricing

Prime season: The first of May through the first two weekends of October:
Starting Point: $997.50.

For June, July, and August only, POSSIBLE additional environmental add-ons...

  • If the entire day is in air-conditioned locations: No extra charges

  • If one venue is air-conditioned, but the other isn't, $1247.50

  • If neither location is air-conditioned, $1497.50

The reason for the upcharge is due to the fact that we receive far fewer reprints from people with sweat stains on their clothing or perspiration and runny make-up on their faces. But even with the increased price, our non-air-conditioned prices for June, July, and August are far below what our peer group photographers always charge. We're still the best value in town - and we'll always show up, regardless of how hot it is. Ask us about that...

Off-season: Last two weekends of October through April:
Starting Point: $897.50

LIMITED COVERAGE FOR FEWER NEEDS AT A MUCH LOWER PRICE: A Possibility... For Off Season – or a Prime Season non-Saturday, or if we don't have a Saturday full wedding booked in Prime Season three weeks prior to the date (call to check for availability)...

Special Limited Wedding coverage: 1½ hours of photographer work time taking 30 pictures from which to choose, keeping 20 of the 4" x 5"s and display book, plus four 8" x 10" units = $289.95, including nearby travel. An option: Instead of photographs, we will create a CD with all of the images on it, very high resolution, for great pictures, with the Right to Reproduce conferred. Additional time, if necessary: $65/hour. Additional pictures taken $35/ten.

Limited coverage weddings on the North/Central Oregon Coast or other destinations of similar distance: Special package includes 2 hours of photographer session time and taking 40 pictures from which to choose. The price is only $395, and that also includes travel and all other expenses. Pictures will be posted online for easy viewing by anyone with Internet connection. Enlargement of faces is easy, so there won't be any surprises. Ordering may be done online, with only a $2.00 shipping fee per address. No minimum orders are required, and the time and quality of pictures can be increased or decreased, as per your needs on wedding day.

For Full Weddings, more or less time/pictures:

  • Additional or less time: $65.00/hour (in quarter-hour increments). For example, if you wished to have 5½ hours of total photographer coverage time, add $97.50 to the Starting Point price.

  • Additional or less pictures: $24.00/ten, taken or not taken. For example, if you wished to have 40 more pictures in your book than what is included in the Starting Point (now 140 total), add $96.00. This price also includes the pages in your presentation album.

For Full Weddings, Images to CD:

  • High resolution imagery, suitable for creating photographs of any size will be put onto a CD for you (you'll have the unrestricted Right to Reproducer, so there will never be any Copyright concerns). These will be the exact same pictures in your wedding album: $150.00 for 100, with $1.25 for any additional images. You may apply this to the $150.00 in reprints that are included in your Starting Point package. You can also upload them into your computer and e-mail or post them onto a website. They're yours!

An option: In addition to your photographs, we can post all your wedding images online for the world to admire, $35.00. Or if you wish, you can be password protected—you control the privacy. If you want, the posting can also count toward the $150.00 in reprints you are entitled to.

Don Faith, the wedding photographer at A Master Image, has photographed over 1,200 weddings. With 20 years of experience, he has never had a single letter of correspondence with the Better Business Bureau, and his artistry and understanding of the timing and pacing of weddings is rarely matched. He can create wonderful special effects, some of which he innovated and are unique to this studio.

After you've looked through the images here, call us for an appointment, so you can see more pictures in person at our studio - and meet with the photographer who'll be with you at your wedding (wherever you go, always insist on meeting with the artist, not the receptionist - and verify that photographer will be with you from start to finish).

If you have any questions or wish to set an appointment at your convenience, please call us. Ask for Don Faith, the wedding professional who will capture the treasured memories on your most special day.

Videography

If you'd like for us to videotape your wedding, using 3-chip digital cameras, wireless mics, professional lighting, liquid-head tripod, etc., and do post-production, the price is only $395, and that includes a DVD with custom label and jewel case. That's about $1,000 less than most videographers charge. Elena Faith is our videographer, so Don is free to do the photography.

Video editing from your friends' tapes: Often, brides will have friends who take videos of their wedding and/or reception. We have the facility to edit together all of your videos, regardless of whether it's VHS, 8mm, VHS-C, or digital
M-DV. Our cost for doing this is the most affordable of any post-production facility; and you can sit with us as the director/producer. We'll show you how it's done and how to create a beautiful wedding story from disorganized, unusable loose ends.

Think About This...

BE A GOOD SHOPPER. Before deciding on which studio will best fill your needs, do a little homework. Of course, pricing and service will be your first inquiry – but, things aren't always what they initially appear. More pictures taken don't mean more wonderful pictures - in fact, usually the opposite is true. Talk to brides who've hired photographers who've taken 200 – 500 pictures, and ask them how few they really treasure.

'Volume picture' photographers are snapping anything that moves, many calling it photojournalism. But when someone is clicking all the time (and if they have to produce hundreds of pictures in 4-6 hours, they're taking multiple pictures per minute) they can't possibly pose a bride, display a train, do appropriate head tilts and arrange groupings professionally to show love and family connections. If they're taking hundreds of pictures, many will be of backs of heads, poor lighting, awkward and unflattering images, etc. And, likely, they won't be Photoshopped (at least most of them). You may have 300 shots, but don't be surprised if you'll only want to show 30 to the world. Just ask any bride to show you the hundreds of pictures she has – and if she could do it again, would she make the same hire?

Shop carefully. Wherever you go, insist on seeing at least two complete wedding albums, with pictures from beginning to end, as you'll want in your book of memories. If the photographer can't show you at least two complete albums, be very concerned. Even if photographers say that their pictures have been given to the brides, they certainly could have created albums before giving the imagery away. Plus, they should always keep the original files on their computer or as complete back-up CDs in their possession. Ask to see them. We'll save all your imagery in our studio AND on our lab's website, AND on Internet storage. We'll always have large files of your pictures if you ever have any future need.

Don Faith is a classically trained wedding photographer, who has also trained hundreds of photographers (he used to own the largest wedding specialty studio in the Northwest, with a minimum of 30 photographers and five videographers on his staff). He has a great sense of humor and is very easy to get along with – and he wants to serve your needs! He'll tailor the shooting to provide you with the beautiful, quality photographs that you desire by personally meeting with you for 1½ - 3 hours (however thorough you want it to be) prior to wedding day. This is one of the most momentous events of your life, certainly meriting a comprehensive planning session – see if other studios will devote that kind of time for you. Choose your wedding photographer carefully – you'll never have a second chance.
